Greetings from the west...

Last weekend, we flew from Portland to Arizona for the wedding of Joe and Amy, Chris' friends from NY. People from 11 states descended on Phoenix. The New Englanders were, of course, unaccustomed to this type of heat ("What the heck is 'dry heat'? Ninety five degrees is ninety five degrees!")

The parents of the bride sure went all out for the reception... Actually, this van pulled up to the church just following the wedding. Maybe the priest had a hankering for a taco...

As some of you know, I recently changed positions at the Safari. A couple months ago, I mentioned I'd like to help out in the Education Department. Then within a week, the Safari director and both members of the Education Dept were laid off by the Board of Trustees. My boss called me on my day off and told me to come in right away. I came in, had a 30 minute training session, and suddenly I'm the Director of Education! Now I'm just trying to figure out the department and keep my head above water....
