Greetings from the west...

Well, I guess it's been awhile since I posted anything on here. This will take you thru December up to the beginning of February. Enjoy!

These are publicity shots for the Safari as use as a wedding facility.

George the elephant has already acted as a ring bearer in a couple weddings so far.

Taini the Ambassador Cheetah with our "newlyweds" (actually, the "groom" is Benji our vet intern and the "bride" is a model.) Posted by Picasa

This is Jake, the "little" cub that we were just bottle feeding over the summer. Sigh, you look away for a minute and they're all grown up... Posted by Picasa

Thank goodness, I got to go home for Christmas! I flew into Columbus and Josette took me to Cincy so I could see her new house, which is awesome. Then we drove home to Wheeling. The following pictures are from Christmas Day.

It’s a Major Award! F-r-a-g-i-l-e, must be Italian.

Josette has a Burger-King King phobia… so what did I get her for Christmas? That’s right, and she doesn't even have an X-box. (Thanks to Chris for taking the bullet and eating the BK meal to get the game!)

We fooled Emily into thinking she wasn't going to get the Wii she had been mooning over. After we had all opened our presents and Emily hadn't gotten anything, my mom pulled a "christmas story" and said "Did you get everything you wanted Emily? Wait, whats that behind the TV stand?" Needless to say, Em was very excited.

Playing the Wii. It was so much fun, even my dad played! Posted by Picasa

Aside from seeing my fabulous family, I got to hang out with a few friends from school while I was home.

Mount crew back together for the holidays, Vanessa, Vicky, and me at Vicky's house.

We had a little trouble getting the pictures to turn out with the tree. One of many outtakes.

Ah, its Giant Victoria. Stupid timer...

Finally, a good one! Posted by Picasa

On his 8 month birthday, Keizer going in for the snip-snip.

Its hard to tell in this picture that Keizer is the one with a cocktail of drugs in his system.

Going under the knife...

The recovery. Keizer had to wear this collar so he wouldn't chew his stitches. Poor Chris was suffering from sympathy pains all day. Posted by Picasa

Lisa Helper Pants holding Irving the California Desert Tortoise when she came in to work with me. She was in Seattle for a Library Conference and she rode a Greyhound down to Roseburg to visit. It was so great to see her! Posted by Picasa

We woke up at 3:30am to make it to Mt Hood when it opened. The sky was beautiful. You can see Hood in the lower left hand corner. Posted by Picasa

Chris on 02.04.2007 at 11:53 am… yeah, I'm not sure where that timestamp came from and I can't get it to go away! Otherwise, I really like this shot. Posted by Picasa

The impressive Mt Hood, 11,239 ft. You can actually ski on the glacier portion of Hood, the blank white area with no trails. Crazy! Posted by Picasa

We asked a fella to take a picture of us with Hood in the background. He agreed, but was sitting on the ground drinking a beer and didn't get up… so this is what we ended up with. Posted by Picasa
