Main Lobby of Grand Central Terminal, build around 1860's and rebuilt in ealy 1900's

The United Nations, the only section of land in Manhattan that is not part of the United States. In front of this mammoth building, 181 flags (not raised while we were there) "represent each of the member countries' commitment to working together for peaceful means of conflict resolution"... hmm, they must have been out to lunch for the start of the Iraq War...
