After leaving the zoo, I went to the Seattle Center, which was right next to my hotel. This 74-acre area contains a lot of attractions, like the Space Needle.


The Needle was created for the 1962 World's Fair and is 605ft tall.


The monorail, also built for the World's Fair, travels about 1 mile from Downtown Seattle to the Center at a top speed of 50 mph, making it the fastest full-sized monorail in the country.
